Happy National Donut Day!

Each year on the first Friday in June since 1938, National Donut Day honors Salvation Army Donut Lassies, dubbed Donut Girls, who made fresh, complementary donuts for American soldiers serving in France during World War I.

To honour our veterans, we have already begun eating donuts today!

Consider also making a donation to the Salvation Army. Today, The Salvation Army provides 64 million meals, including donuts to millions of Americans every year, and in Canada the Salvation Army is the largest non-governmental direct provider of social services.
