Biology Department Plant Growth Facility at Guelph, Ontario

This sprawling rooftop research greenhouse was built to make new breakthroughs in botanical sciences. JGS and Greenhouse & Growth Chamber Facility Consultant (GHE) were responsible for the comprehensive design and implementation of a greenhouse package. This included a rooftop greenhouse for research, including transgenics, with air conditioning in 40% of the spaces allowing for a fully sealed operation, and energy-efficient evaporative cooling in the remaining compartments. These and many more advanced systems ensured a state-of-the-art facility tailored to advanced research needs.
